To celebrate we are letting you all see this video that we made to celebrate the last day of classes and the last day of April. Hint on what it contains:

Unfortunately, it is that time of year again. On the bright side, summer is just a “short” week away (a week that literally feels like forever). Due to the horrendous amount of papers, projects, and tests that are making our lives miserable (and not to mention PACKING), we will be posting less than usual this week. We wish this wasn’t the case.

However, as soon as we have our freedom, we will be back and ready to have a post-filled summer! In mid-May, Kate and I will be reunited in Los Angeles and we will have A LOT to blog about.

To all of you who currently have finals, good luck. We feel your pain! This too shall pass…

Here’s the most recent finals themed Buzzfeed article to help get you through: Pitch Perfect Style

Happy Easter Weekend

Happy Easter Weekend (or Happy Long Weekend to those who don’t celebrate!). I started my weekend off by taking my dog, Abby, to the beach. She had the time of her life!

What is everyone else up to this weekend? We will be posting more about Easter soon.

Pasta in the Microwave (NOT easy mac)

Ok biddies, listen up-

If you didn’t already know this, you can make pasta in your dorm very easily. Tay and I know this because a) we love pasta b) who doesn’t love pasta and c) sometimes we are lazy and need to eat dinner in bed.

How, you might ask? Here are the directions (and also this fun, sort of pasta-related website for you to enjoy while your pasta is in the microwave. you’re welcome.):

Ingredients/Supplies:
Pasta (preferably something that fits in a bowl whole- penne, rotini, rigatoni, etc.)
Small colander (or just use the plate)
Salt (steal packets from the dining hall)
Whatever toppings you might want (I recommend keeping parmesan around because it stays good for a long time, plus some olive oil and a jar of pasta sauce. All good things to have around in a pinch)
Microwaveable plate + bowl

How to:
Pour desired amount of pasta into your bowl. Fill bowl with water so that all the pasta is covered plus a little extra, then add a pinch or two of salt and stir. Place the bowl on top of the plate (some of the water will boil over) and microwave in 4 minute intervals, stirring in between, until tender. This should take 3-4 minutes longer than the usual cook time, but just try the pasta since it depends on preference. Drain in a colander if you have one or just hold the plate over the bowl so you can drain water without the pasta spilling out. Add sauce, cheese, etc. and microwave for another 30 seconds or so. Enjoy!
